Working groups

The Education working group is engaged in the collection of documentation concerning the stranglehold of neo-liberalism on education, vocational training and research. In particular, the working group aims to: emphasize the importance of education in shaping the personality of women and men and the impact that education policy has for society; critically analyse the school policy of each country and its link with the EU objectives in the field; and to make political and educational alternative proposals.

The EL is convinced that the political Left has to contribute in a very concrete way to the broad discussion about alternatives to the neo-liberal policy, which dominates today all economic processes in the EU and the EU member countries. Therefore, in order to focus more intensively on economic policy – both on a theoretical and political level – the EL has created a working group on this subject.
